Changing Roles Post: Forest Guild Webinar on Land Fragmentation
Mar 13, 2012

The Forest Guild is hosting another webinar! The focus of this session is "Urban Growth, Second Home Development, and Fragmentation of the Northern Forests of Vermont". Drs. Austin Troy and Brian Voigt will present recent work that simulates future land use change driven by both primary residential development in urban and suburban areas and second or vacation home development. Based on these results, the project will characterize expected future forest fragmentation and habitat connectivity. While the study area is "out of region" for many in my listserve audience, the issues of urban growth and fragmentation are very relevant to the Southern Region.

Date/Time: Tuesday March 20th, 1-2 pm Eastern
