USDA Sponsors Listening Forums on Agriculture and Forestry in Rapidly Growing Areas
A public forum to gather input on how to maintain farm and forestland in rapidly growing areas. This information will be used to draft a report on actions federal agencies can take to maintain farm and forestland in the face of sprawling development, and escalating land prices. Additional forums were held in Davis, CA (July 21, 2000), Seattle, WA (July 31, 2000), Atlanta, GA, (August 7, 2000), and Morristown, NJ (August 9, 2000).
